DragonkinDragonDescription: Dragons have always been a greedy, selfish and prideful race, with a great distaste for sharing and trouble with getting along with others, perhaps especially their own. They used to be royalty, yet now they wallow in self pity and shame; Once the ruling race of Palandri, after the High Goddess' death dragons were seen as threats to the humanoid races and competitors for the throne, thus they were ruthlessly hunted for hundreds of years until they were believed to be completely extinct. While not so, no one has seen a dragon for the past two hundred years, as the most ones who remain have either hidden themselves away and entered deep sleep, or left the land of Palandri to seek refuge in the land beyond the sea. Few stayed, keeping away from civilization and living alone on the far Islands or high mountains. Appearance: Dragons are scale clad, enormous be-winged beasts. The number of limbs (wings and tail not included) vary from dragon to dragon; some only have two, while others may have as many as eight. Very rarely a dragon may even have a second pair of wings. The color of their scales are commonly any shade of green, red, grey, or brown, though it is not uncommon for other variations or mixes of several different colors to occur. Life expectancy: 1000 - 3000 Name Customs: Dragon names typically follows the lines of consonant, vocal, apostrophe, followed by a three - eight letter finish composed of seemingly random letters. Ex: Pa'landri, Do'rathk, La'kiet, Mi'nirese. Pros: - Long lifespan.
- Great natural protection.
- Worshipped by some groups of people.
Cons: - Feared by most other races.
- Near-extinct.
