Full Name: Kalius Gaius
Race: Mundane
Class: Swordsman
Age: 22
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Bio:
An optimistic, energetic, and likable young man. Growing up to a middle class family afforded him many comforts of life, of which included an education. Kalius grew up to a fairly happy childhood and his parents have raised him quite well. Following in the footsteps of his father, a Centurion in the legion guarding Westerhedge, his dream is to serve his family, people, and his Goddess.
Hailing from a middle class noble family in Westerhedge, Kalius was born to a soldier and a merchant. His father, Jannek Gaius, was a proud Centurion of the Scarlet Legion, the valiant protectors of one of the smallest cities in all of Palandri. His mother, on the other hand, happened to take more of an interest in the financial and economic side of things and successfully managed to erect a pair of General Goods stores in the city. And so, life was good for the eldest of a trio of sons.
As far as his early life goes, Kalius was a happy-go-lucky child, seemingly oblivious to the world happenings around them and always wondering why his father was often sent away. Little did the young boy know, wars were being waged over a crown. A trivial object that seemed to grant the wearer absolute control over the lands and peace or destruction was to be the wearer's preference. However, as Kalius grew older, he noticed. He noticed that crown.
Afforded an adequate education by modern standards, Kalius and his brothers were soon shoved into the harsh world of Mathematics, Politics, History, and English classes. Brightly exhibiting the older brother tendency, he was far superior in these lessons than his brothers were and often tutored them himself. Although he may have been adept at understanding school lessons, he dreamed of a life of adventure outside of the walls of Westerhedge. A life of glory, honor, and grand quests.
With that notion of epic-scale battles and marvelous events in mind, Kalius took it upon himself to enlist in the Scarlet Legion as soon as he finished school and turned eighteen. While his father was pretty accepting of his choice, his mother was definitely not. Madeline had hopes for her son to enter into politics, using their limited wealth and prestige to somehow gain renown and bring House Gaius fortune. Kalius disliked the idea of being a politician and immediately rejected the efforts of his mother's vain attempts from the time he was a pre-teen until he become a legionnaire.
Begrudgingly, Madeline accepted her eldest son's choice to become a soldier like her husband and granted him her blessing. And with that, Kalius was swept into a life of training, exercise, and discipline. It wasn't everything he was looking for in life, but it was a start.
And it was more than enough to prepare him.

The young man set off in a light stride through the narrow streets and alleyways of the darker area of Deningrad. Though there weren't many people here at all, one could usually detect that he was being watched, and Wade was feeling that this very moment. It was starting to get scorching hot, his baggy indigo robes not helping in anyway to combat the heat besides merely shading his skin from exposure. Moisture collected upon his brow before welling up and streaming down across his face.
He was panting, running ragged at almost just a little jog now. Oh how he wished he could just take off the robes, yet he had nothing underneath and conduct like that was not befitting of a stu- Wade! He inhaled sharply and prayed that his brain would catch up to his heart and lungs. He was losing focus in the blistering climate, the lingering dew in the air didn't make things better, either.
"No! NO! Wade, d-don't! Stop! You d-don't understand-!"
By Omin, the man was following him! His head whipped around for a quick glance at the stumbling, paper-thin man giving chase. Dammit, Kairo! He almost yelled out the curse at the elemental, the dammed thing wasn't even pursuing the man. Perhaps he'd ran out of mana? Oh well, the summoner had a girl to catch.
Wade couldn't go any further. The heat almost overcame his trembling form as he nearly doubled over and sat hunched over in the middle of the larger than usual alleyway, breathing thick air. At last, the shambling came closer as he detected the man dropping down to his knees.
"D-don't- j-just... leave her be- please..."
Wade coughed dryly, swallowing before replying. "I can't, s-she wasn't telling us the truth earlier!" He coughed once again, sucking in a storage of air before he rose to full height. The air did nothing to help him keep a mostly straight-backed posture, but was for his bellow.
"Rhona! I know who you are!" He cried out, keeping his eyes on the surroundings, making sure nobody else was there. "Just come out! I want to talk to you!"
Maybe she wasn't the princess, which he definitely hoped. Otherwise, she would have spotted his location and took off even further to get away. A girl like her couldn't be the princess, they were raised to be polite and elegant. Not some Knight Initiate who got into a ruckuss with boys and a skinny man in alleyways. Of course she wasn't, and he probably looked like the stupidest guy in the world in front of the collapsed man.
The summoner waited for nearly an entire minute, just standing there, but to no avail.
He gently turned and plopped down upon a knee next to the man, planting a hand upon his shoulder to help keep him upright. "Alright, we can go. Sorry about that.." His expression softened. "I didn't think you would come after me." And then he realized something mighty peculiar. Snorting, he gave the man a pat. "Y'know, you never told me your name." Wade flashed him a grin, took one last look around, and prepared to lift him and head off.
