First and Foremost: Show respect towards your fellow roleplayers!- No matter what factions your characters belong to in game, when it comes down to it we’re all just one big, happy family. Be nice to each other, show each other respect, and do not start any unnecessary drama over petty issues. We’re supposed to have fun, not rip each other’s throats off. If you're having issues with a fellow member, either try to clear it up amongst yourselves privately, or take it to one of the staff members to sort it out for you.
And of course, basic roleplaying rules apply!- Which means godmodding, powerplaying, and metagaming are all frowned upon in this roleplay. To my knowledge this is the case in most if not all serious text based roleplaying sites, so experienced players should already be well versed in how to go about NOT doing any of these things, and all is well. In the off case that you're not completely sure what godmodding, powerplaying, or metagaming is, I'd like to direct your attention to this great explanation of all three: Godmodding, Metagaming, and Powerplaying.
There is no word limit!- All writers are welcome, no matter how much they write!
We're not hard on activity but please don't disappear on us!- Tell us if you decide to quit, there will be no hard feelings at all, pinky promise. If you're going away for any extended period of time, please let us know how long or when you think you'll be back! Particularly if your absence crosses with the activity checks. If you are marked as "Away" during a check you will be exempt, but if not you risk getting your character(s) deleted!
- Activity checks are performed only at the very end of each month, at which point all characters in the roleplay will be recieving a message to which they may reply a simple yes or no: "Do you want to keep this character?". If the answer is yes then, well, obviously the character in question will stay as they are. If no, they will be removed, and there is absolutely no requirement to give an explanation as to why you didn't want keep them. However if we do not receive a reply within three days, it will be an assumed negative and the character will be removed, so don't forget to check in even on your more inactive characters if you wish to keep them.
There is no limit on characters per person! Well, I mean...
- Members have a free pass to create up to 2 characters at any time, although these two must be of races from the starter list. During the course of the roleplay, as you're active with your character(s) and participate in events, you will be earning Soul Points (a special currency in game, a guide can be found here) which if you so choose can then use to "buy" yourself additional characters. There are even some special races only available to play this way. Please note though that even if there technically is no character limit, this is not a cue for you to get yourself a thousand of them and leave all but one wasting away in inactivity...
The minimum age limit of all players is 15, and for good reasons!
- This roleplay will contain mature themes such as violence & gore, possibly torture & death, drinking, sexual activities, and cussing. Every thread containing one or more of these are required to state so in the title to prevent people from accidentally coming across something they'd rather not, but that doesn't change the fact that these themes are going to appear and most likely quite frequently so given the setting. If you already know for sure you're not okay with this, or if you're younger than 15, I advice you to find another roleplay more suited to your needs.
